ABOUT HATZALAH
Hatzalah--Hebrew for rescue--is one of the largest U.S. volunteer ambulance services.
Hatzalah’s two-tiered response strategy, using First Responders and ambulances, means that fully equipped and trained emergency care providers are at the scene within two to four minutes.
Hatzalah of the Rockaways and Nassau County responds to emergencies from Belle Harbor through Rockaway Peninsula and Nassau County including West Hempstead.
Our volunteer team today is comprised with over 150 emergency medical technicians, paramedics and physicians who respond typically within two minutes to thousands of calls annually. Since its inception, the local chapter of Hatzalah of the Rockaways and
Nassau County has responded to thousands of calls and is directly responsible for
saving a great many lives.

Hatzalah spares no expense to ensure that our volunteers have the best equipment to save lives and provide the highest quality pre-hospital emergency medical treatment.
CME Training
Our continuing medical education classes ensure that all our EMT and Paramedics are up to date on all life saving techniques.
